UK launches new lightweight square PET plastic cans
A major food producer in the UK has launched PET plastic cans with OXO low salt pellets. The requirements of First Food Company for PET plastic can containers are: lightweight and square. This semi transparent square amber PET plastic can looks very compatible with the appearance of the OXO concentrate bottle.
Adrian Bird, the production development manager of the Chargrove factory, explained that the semi transparent texture combined with the square shape will mean that any changes in the wall thickness of this PET plastic can will affect the color of the product. The preform of this PET plastic can was designed with the consideration of ensuring consistency throughout the entire packaging. Once put into production, we set quite strict wall thickness limits
This 375ml container uses a label printed by Ormerods. The label colors for beef, chicken, and vegetable pellets are different for easy differentiation. The low salt premium block series offers all the regular flavors of OXO, but with a 25% reduction in salt content. Sprinkle a little OXO essence on meat and vegetable food before grilling to make the taste more delicious, and of course, it can also be added to the recipe for a more authentic taste.
